Finally Left!
Thursday, April 1st, 2010
Having spent the last month on a roller coaster of long days and sleepless nights trying to get our house in order and our vehicles packed and loaded, we are finally homeless! We are now sitting at Harwich docks having missed our ferry this morning and waiting for tomorrow’s sailing. We are really knackered, wrecked and tired and glad to be finally out of our home (with only an hour to spare before our tenant arrived - a teeny bit tight we have to say!). With fast disappearing furniture, bed has been either the living room floor with sleeping bags or the caravan and it’s soooo cold outside the past few days. Our hands are stinging and sore from all the cleaning etc. we’ve been doing. We’ve said countless goodbyes to family, friends and neighbours and there have been some tears. And we’re very grateful to everyone for all help we’ve received these past few days and weeks in helping us get ready. We’ve done a bit of a caravan revamp to suit our needs better including a bit of ‘Shaun the sheep’ fabric (courtesy of eBay for the children). There’s now plenty of space for the many education materials and storage needed. More news to follow over the next few days. More important matters include our first duty of today consisting of ‘the bucket’ instead of the more traditional - loo! Creature comforts long gone already - oh joy!. We’ve inserted a new page called ‘Curent Location’ (top left of website page) where you can see our location on a map or you can click here to get to it. Thanks to all for all of the very kind wishes we received. We’ll respond soon. Just too knackered to think between us right now - just want to sleep!!!!
Bye for now!
