Melbourn Fete Saturday 27th June 1pm - 5pm with Music on the Moor 6pm - 10pm
Another fete and fund-raising again!

Check out www.melbournfete.co.uk as this one sounds like fun! - the fete will run from 1-5pm with Music on the Moor from 6-10pm which will include live musicians, beer tent and barbeque - what more could you want! A lovely time to relax! If your’re in the area, please come and join us (we plan to stay till late!!).
Special Significance
This event is being held in very place where we officially intend to begin our adventure, next year, for our Melbourn (Cambridgeshire, UK) to Melbourne (Australia) route. This fete also represents our last opprtunity for this type of fund-raising opportunity as we’ll then be away for our shakedown trip and then on the road early next year.
What we’ll be doing
No balloons this time (going to keep it small and simple) but we will have our homemade ‘Splat That Pesky Rat’ and colourful ‘Lolly Ball’ to play. Pesky will be there and we’ll have some copies of Lauren Child’s ‘That Pesky Rat’ book available to buy. OWK and Bonzo (please see previous posts on our Kids Page) will also be offered as prizes as part of our ‘Guess How Many Pesky Rats Are In the Jar’ competition. Please come along if you can to support us.
Educational Aid
We’ll be there, attempting to raise some more pennies for our children’s school - toward Educational Aid for children within a small village in Burlacu, Moldova, which we’ll be visiting ourselves along our trip route next year.
