Couchsurfers from Spain

A couple of weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting our first Couchsurfers - Albert, Montse and Laura from Lleida, Spain. They stayed with us for the weekend (Friday - Sunday) and we had a great weekend. Highlights (in our view) included our local riverside park twice (obligatory with children including bikes and skateboards), a tour of Cambridge City wandering around the university grounds, river area and shops, complete with hot dogs for breakfast, ice creams and fish & chip shop lunch. A visit to the Amercian Cemetry was also a highlight. The sun was out and there was a special Street Buskers weekend going on, so music and entertainment met us at every street corner. Following the weekend, Albert, Montse and Laura travelled onward to London to complete their trip. Overall, Couchsurfing.org has been a very positive experience for us and a great way to meet and stay in touch with other travellers. Whether wanting to host or travel yourselves, it offers a variety of like-minded people to suit everyone. Recommended!
