Meeting Fellow Overlanders

Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into when we decided to accept an invitation to Jen and Ollie’s (jollyfollies.com) place over the weekend to meet up and stay over. We met a fantastic bunch of people including Rosie and Dave (nessiesadventures.com), Mandy and Jacques (seeyouwhenwegetthere.com), Vicki and Nick (langebaan-sunset.com), Russell (who’ll be biking solo) and Claire and Gary (no website but you can find Claire Korsakovs and Gary May on facebook). The drink flowed, stories got exchanged, vehicles discussed and looked at, route plans revealed, previous tales and experiences re-told, beautiful food got eaten and a (long!) walk got walked in the wet, muddy woods to the pub! and back again! (for yet more alcohol!) before collapsing into sleeping bags.
Thank you Jen and Ollie for a fantastic weekend which we are still recovering from and for the opportunity to meet. And, good luck to all wherever you may next be in the world! Have attached just a few of the more sober photos.
