Norway

Outside of the UK and Ireland, Norway is the first European country on our list. We are really excited about visiting Norway. The more we have investigated the more we are looking forward to leaving the familiarity of our own doorstep. Plan is to cross by sea from UK probably from Newcastle where we hope to be able to see the majestic fjords and mountain landscapes as we approach. Bergen, Stavenger, Haugesaund and hub of Vos are on our list and some of the places we plan to visit while we are there include:
• Brygenn, City of Bergen in West Norway
• West Norwegian Fjords - Geirangerfjord and Naeyroyfjord - North East of Bergen in South West of Norway
• Urnes Stave Church, Sogn of Fjordane
• Roros Mining Town, Sor Trondelag County (if possible)
• Vegaoyen - The Vega Archipelago (if possible), Nordland, Vega
• Struve Geodetic Art, Hammerfest, Finnmark
• Rock Art of Alta. county of Finmark
