Supporting the “Pure” Basmati Rice Campaign which is currently under threat - traditionally a luxury exportable cash crop - too expensive for most local people. With rising food inflation, there is also a need to grow crops that have a higher yield to prevent starvation in poorer countries.

We love this rice for its flavour and have decided to only purchase the Tilda Pure Basmati version from now on which has been tested for authenticity (and is not a corrupt hybrid) and Tilda runs various community projects in Aryana province to give financial assistance to schools.

Would be good for children to research the www.tilda.com website to see what they can learn and support. From an educational perspective, we can use as a basis for visiting and providing excercises to understand “how rice is made”.
