Connecting and Communicating

We had a huge row today - rare and always short-lived - but we have started to identify a trend with this which always seems to peak about once every 3 months and ends up in us ignoring each other for a period of time. It seems to get out of control and then get quickly resolved (well mostly!).
Anyhow, we realise more and more the importance of remaining connected and particularly communicating. We have been together 21.5 years and have our faults like everyone else. Sometimes we don’t do enough important communicating - it’s our biggest fault - due largely to busy lifestyles with work and children. Don’t get us wrong, we talk all the time and have a great relationship - it’s just finding ‘quality’ talk time to ensure small issues don’t become mountains unnecessarily.
We did some web research today to find useful tips to remind us about the important things.
We have resolved to start improving in this area as we need to ensure we try to remove this weak point in our relationship - particularly important for a long 18-month. 24-7, travel period!
