Jessica and AJ’s First Pen Pal in Australia

Following a request to the Couchsurfing community for world-wide penpals yesterday, Jessica and AJ have been contacted already by a little girl called Indigo who is aged 6 and lives in Perth, Australia. Jessica was amazed that her message could reach so far and so quickly - she could see and understand for the first time the real power of the internet - she is delighted. Jessica and AJ looked on the world map to see where Indigo lives - it will be 3 years before we hit Australia and Indigo will be nine years old! when we get there. Just looking at the world map with the children is an education in itself and the planning, preparation and children’s involvement of the past couple of days is not only exciting but proving really beneficial already.
